Shahidul Alam is a major pillar of the documentary photography scene in Asia and beyond and arguably the father of documentary photography in Bangladesh. Just a few of the projects he founded are, The Chobi Mela festival, the Prashala photography school, the Drik Gallery and the majority world agency. As a photographer his work has been shown at the MOMA in NYC, the Tate in London and many others.
Hossein Farmani is a collector, curator and editor who was born in Teheran, immigrated to LA and now lives in Bangkok. He has founded and directs major photo institutions, magazines, festivals, awards and foundations, such as the Lucie Foundation, MOPLA, VUE magazine, Focus on AIDS foundation, IPA photo awards and Paris Prix Prize to name a few.

Greg Constantine is an award winning photojournalist from the United States. In late 2005 he moved to Asia and began work on his on-going project, Nowhere People. Over the past five years he has documented the plight of stateless people in Asia, Africa, Europe and most recently, the Dominican Republic, in an effort to reveal the impact statelessness has on the human condition. | Manit Sriwanichpoom is one of Thailand’s leading photographers and the best known in the international art world, having exhibited worldwide. In 2002 he was picked as one of the world’s 100 most interesting emerging photographers by Phaidon Press in their book BLINK. He was recently designated the winner of Japan’s prestigious Higashikawa Photo Fiesta Prize for the year 2007. |
Jeanne Marie Hallacy is a Documentary Filmmaker from the United States. She has been living in Bangkok and Manila for years and has been working on several projects in Asia. Recently she was the director of a documentary film about political issues in Burma called “Into the current: Burma’s Political Prisoners” which was released in 2012. | Emmy-Award winning Producer/Director, Cord Keller helped develop the “epic” cinematic style of the reality series, SURVIVOR during his three years with the show as Senior Producer/Director. Keller produced and directed the HBO Documentary Special, LAUGHS and the sequel, GOING FOR LAUGHS, winning multiple CableAce Awards. In addition to numerous documentary and reality series, Keller directed NBC’s UNSOLVED MYSTERIES from 1994 to 1999 and Co-Produced the Fox series, AMERICA’S MOST WANTED from 1989 to 1990. His short film, SHOTGUN premiered at the Hollywood Film festival in 2004. Keller recently completed his first novel, “Eating Dust,” and facilitates film workshops. |
John Hulme is a documentary photographer dividing his time between South East Asia and Britain. His work has focused on documenting social issues in Europe, Thailand, Burma and India. His recent work on Burmese issues includes the documentation of migrant workers, gold mining in Kachin state, the Karen people refugee camps, and backpack medics. John also photographed the 2010 Khumbh Mela in Haridwar India, the largest gathering of humanity on the planet. He currently lives in Chiang Mai Northern Thailand. |
